v0.9.7

How each feature works — a quick summary first, then the detail, and the mechanism underneath it where that is worth reading.

Home screen

  • Circular home screens

Swipe past your last home screen and the first one comes back in, tracking your finger. There is no dead end and no scrolling back the way you came.

  • Grid & icon sizing

Set your own rows and columns for the home screen and the drawer, scale icon size from 70% to 150%, and place icons and widgets on half-cell offsets for finer positioning.

  • Labels, dock & spacing

Hide the text labels under home screen icons and folders, rename any pinned icon's label, and hide the dock entirely — the bottom row of icons settles closer to the page dots automatically.

  • Pages & the work profile

Long-press the home screen to zoom out and drag pages into a new order, and mark a page as a work page so it hides automatically with the work profile.

  • Swipe gestures

Bind six vertical swipes on the home screen — one, two, and three fingers, up and down — to open the drawer, trigger a system action, or launch an app.

  • Folders

Sort a folder alphabetically, pick its members from a full-screen app picker, and browse every folder you have — home screen and archived — from its own tab in the drawer, or inline in the app list.

Drawer & search

  • The app drawer

Swiping up opens the drawer with the search box already focused and the keyboard up. The drawer's sheet and background can blur the home screen behind it.

  • How drawer search works

One box searches apps, contacts, calendar, the web, and does math. Results arrive in a fixed order, and fast sources never wait on slow ones.

  • App search & fuzzy matching

App matches in drawer search tolerate typos and skipped letters, ranked from an exact match down to a typo-tolerant one.

  • Contact search

Contacts appear in drawer search alongside apps, with call, message and email buttons on the row. People you star or contact often come first.

  • Calendar in search

Narrow which calendars search reads, add Directions and Join buttons to event rows, and see a shared event once instead of twice.

  • Web search & keyword shortcuts

Suggestions from a search engine appear near the bottom of the drawer's results, and a typed keyword like "yt" can route a query straight to another app or service.

  • Instant answers

Type an expression, a unit conversion, or a relative date into drawer search and see the answer inline, without opening a calculator.

  • Drawer home

Opening the drawer lands on a shelf of recent and most-used apps, your next couple of calendar events, and your last few searches, instead of a plain A-Z list.

Settings & data

  • Settings, organized

Settings has a search box to jump straight to any row, and is organized into cards — Home screen, Drawer and Widgets; Export and import; Permissions; and About and Privacy — styled to match the system Settings app.

  • Import & export

Export configuration saves your settings and entire home-screen layout to a zip file through the system file picker, and Import configuration restores it later on this or another device.

  • Recent apps widgets

A resizable grid widget and a fixed folder-style tile both show your recently launched apps on the home screen, and can be configured to hide apps already placed elsewhere.

About & privacy

  • First run & onboarding

A first-run tour introduces search, drawer home, and swipe gestures, checks off optional permissions, asks about crash and usage reporting, and finishes by asking to become your default home app.

  • About & licenses

Settings → About shows the app's identity and version, and opens the full open source license text bundled with the build.
